First Guardian has established an innovative, full functionality equities trading platform, to allow clients direct access to Australian share markets. In order to trade equities in Australia, a foreign investor must open two accounts: a cash account and an equities trading account.
The cash account opened with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia – the largest commercial bank in Australia – is called the Accelerator Cash Account (ACA) and does not require Australian residency, visa or physical presence in Australia. This account is used for moving funds to and from Australia, storing realised gains from equities trading and managing each investor’s overall investment transactions. First Guardian has been authorised by Commonwealth Bank, to complete customer due diligence and verification. Documents we require are passport or other acceptable foreign ID and address verification documents to complete the account opening process.
The trading account is opened in order to access the First Guardian Equity Trading Platform. Our platform provides access to all stock exchanges in Australia – the ASX and NSX. The trading account is fully translated into Mandarin and offers a Chinese-speaking help desk for international clients. Our platform features full-service trading functionality such as a customisable trading screen, equity transaction reports, real-time equity prices and performance charts, watch lists for monitoring selected equities and mobile trading services. All investment tools are designed to accommodate traders of varying levels of skill and experience, including professional day-traders and sophisticated investors.
The client interface for the trading platform can be customised to display market data most useful to each investor.
